The Small (40 × 60 cm) suits a hallway, a spot beside a window, or the wall over a bedside table or desk. The Large (60 × 90 cm) is for over a sofa, a sideboard or a bed. There is a drawing of both to scale on the home page, and if you email us the width of the wall or the furniture, we will tell you which fits.

No. It is the same design scaled up by half, printed with larger screens. Nothing is added or redrawn.

Slide the two beech dowels through the sleeves at the top and bottom hems, tie the cotton cord to the ends of the top dowel, and hang the cord from a single nail or picture hook. The bottom dowel is there to weigh the canvas down so it hangs flat. The nail is not included.

It arrives rolled, so it will have soft curves and perhaps a crease or two. Most drop out within a few days of hanging. To speed it up, take the dowels out and iron the back on a cool setting.

No. Every design is screen-printed with water-based pigment inks onto a cotton-linen canvas, about 340 g/m². There is no paper, no frame and no glass.

Spot clean only, with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Machine washing does not harm the inks, but the canvas shrinks a few per cent and the hems twist. Details are on the Care & Materials page.

Slowly, and only in strong sun. Pigment inks hold up well indoors, but any print fades in direct sunlight over time; violet and vermilion are the least light-fast colours we use. Keep a hanging off a wall that gets afternoon sun if you can.

No. The constellations on Star Chart are invented, the bars on Rainfall are no city's real record, and the Barometer dial has no numbers and measures nothing. They are drawn to look like diagrams, not to be used as them.

Each colour is printed by hand through its own screen, so colours can sit up to 1 to 2 mm off each other, and the canvas has natural slubs. On Eclipse the overprinted lens shifts a little in colour from piece to piece. If you want two that match closely, order them together so they come from the same run.

Possibly. Duties and taxes depend on the rules of the country the parcel enters, including the United States. They are not included in our prices and, if charged, are collected by the carrier.

Yes, within 30 days of delivery if it is unused and unwashed, rolled back in its tube. Email us first; the Refund policy has the details.
